Hi, I'm Ellie, and I'm raising money for the Great Ormond Street Cancer Center. I feel connected to this cause as my friend Luka's baby sister is currently suffering from brainstem cancer and is being treated at GOSH, and I want to do something to help. I will be running 50km by September 5th. Every day, 619 children and young people from across the UK arrive at GOSH, many suffering from cancer. Shockingly, children’s cancer rates are going up, not down. Since 1993 they have increased by 12%. Children with some of the hardest-to-treat cancers still have a less than 2% chance of survival. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential. And every day is a chance for you to make a difference. They are looking to raise £300 million to build a new cancer centre. Children deserve a chance and those with cancer deserve to have a place where they feel safe, where they have hope that each day is a step toward recovery. I am looking to raise £1000 to contribute to the life-saving centre and I would be truly grateful if you could donate any amount of money because every penny can help save a life. Do you want to join me in making a difference?
