Jan 2024 - Final Update: I am pleased to report that Ron has transitioned out of the nursing home and is now residing in Concord, CA. His financial circumstances have also improved, although he is still physically disabled and has difficulty communicating. Thanks again for supporting Ron during his time of need. I am pleased to report that Ron continues to improve, and we hope that he can soon move to a nicer facility and eventually back to independent living. July 2024: Many of you know Ron Beau Philips from his comedy shows, books and as a longtime resident of the San Francisco Bay Area and Ft. Lauderdale. Ron has always been extremely generous with his friends and even providing complete strangers with food and a place to crash. Unfortunately Ron recently suffered a devastating cerebral contusion that left him close to death. Thanks to the good work of his medical team at Santa Rosa Memorial, Ron is now on the road to recovery and is currently receiving treatment at a Post Acute Rehab facility. However, Ron is still suffering from speech aphasia and impaired hand movements, and as a result he is currently unable to work. During his 5 weeks in the trauma unit, Ron was also the victim of fraud and identity theft. Ron has no family to provide financial support. The last thing Ron wants is to ask his friends for help. But Ron desperately needs money for basic living expenses, clothing, rehab & medical treatments, and to get back on the road to independent living.
