Rick had a severe stroke in his home in Annapolis, MD on the morning of July 14th, 2024. After his initial emergency treatment in Annapolis, he was moved to George Washington University Medical Center in Washington D.C. for surgery to remove the blockage in his brain and continuing medical treatment. He was transferred to John Hopkins Bayview Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore, MD on July 24th for continuing medical care and needed rehabilitation. Not all of Rick’s long-term treatments and needed at-home adaptations will be covered by insurance. There will be ADA modifications to his home required before he can eventually go home. Your gracious donations will be used to help gap unforeseen and uncovered costs. As you can only imagine, this has been an incredibly emotional and stressful time for Rick’s family and I’m hoping these donations will eliminate some of the unforeseen financial stress. To know Rick is to know of his unwavering love for his entire family. If Rick is your friend, you know his friendship is genuine and valued. If you know Rick professionally, you know that he is the consummate professional. Our continuing thoughts and prayers are with his wife Sharon, and children Caitlin and Tyler and their children and families. We are all hoping and praying for Rick’s continuing recovery. I’m sure he is looking forward to sitting in his chair at home on a Saturday soon and cheering for his beloved Notre Dame football team. Any well wishes are welcome.
