Dear friends, family, and caring individuals, We need your support to make a life-changing difference for Mrs.Penny Welbourne of New Haven, a beloved member of our community. She has been there for us, and now it's our turn to give back. We are launching this LFEBridge campaign to raise $8,600 for Mrs.Penny Welborne's much-needed dental surgery. Together, we can help her regain her oral health and restore her ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. Mrs. Penny Welbourne, A graduate of the University of Maryland in Library sciences worked in the Yale Library system at the Beinecke, she and her late husband James Welbourne believed in the library system as a way to enlighten the people and raise their circumstances regardless of anything life can throw at you. I believe in this as well, knowledge will set you free and you can seek this for yourself. She and Jim Welbourne have touched countless lives and provided services beyond measure like establishing a library in a community that lost their library some 30 years prior and private counseling of young men and women over the years. She will give the credit to her husband, but they have been thick as thieves through the civil rights era and for decades since, it is that union that made them into the pillars of society the world needs. She and all of us regrettably lost her husband in an untimely death in 2011, the burden has been most heavy for her, and the loss to the world immeasurable. She has been strong and kept her head high with such a loss with charitable contributions, fostering animals and being a kind, giving member of society even when it seems like others have been consumed in their ever-busy lives. However, there are some things you cannot soldier through alone. We, as a community, can step in and support those legends who have supported us through their life's work. If you wish to learn more about them, this article about her husband can give you an idea of how important they were to the fabric of society. https://www.nhregister.com/news/article/Former-New-Haven-city-librarian-touched-many-lives-11570568.php https://www.newhavenindependent.org/article/james_welbourne https://www.newhavenindependent.org/obituaries/james_welbourne_69 these articles may feature James Welborne as the main subject but the old saying goes behind every man is a great woman and she's been there since the beginning. they gave so much to the world and now is a great time for the world to give back. The Challenge: Unfortunately, as we age, our dental health can deteriorate, making it difficult to perform basic tasks like eating and speaking. Ms. Penny has been experiencing immense pain, discomfort and infections due to holes left in her mouth after having teeth extracted. This has not only impacted her physical well-being but also taken a toll on her mental and emotional state. With limited financial resources, Mrs. Penny has been unable to afford the necessary dental treatment She desperately needs. The Solution: We have consulted with Dr. Francesco P. Maratta of New Haven Prosthodontics, P.C.who specializes in addressing the specific challenges faced by elderly patients. They have developed a comprehensive treatment plan that includes dental implants to restore Mrs. Penny's dental health. However, the cost of this much-needed surgery amounts to $8,600, an amount she simply cannot afford on her own. Our Goal: Through this LFEBridge campaign, our goal is to raise the necessary funds to cover the entire cost of Mrs.Penny's dental surgery. We firmly believe that everyone deserves to live a life free from pain and discomfort, regardless of their financial circumstances. By contributing to this campaign, you will be making a direct impact on Mrs. Penny's quality of life, allowing her to eat, speak, and smile once again. Any funds over the amount will be gifted to Mrs. Penny that she may use to cover any of the many life expenses that may come her way. How You Can Help: Make a donation: Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to our goal. Leave a heartfelt message on the LFEBridge page, letting her know that she is not alone in this journey. Closing: Let's rally together and make a profound difference in Mrs Penny's life. Together as a community, we can help her regain her oral health, allowing her to enjoy a pain-free and confident life. This project is being conducted in a manner that it will be a gift to her to let her know we, as a society, have not forgotten her.
