Dear Friends, Family and Community, I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart, seeking your support during a distressing time for my father, Dan. Early this morning, his truck was mercilessly broken into, resulting in the devastating loss of approximately $15,000 worth of goods. The emotional and financial toll this incident has taken on him is immeasurable, and we are now turning to the kindness and generosity of our community for help. My father, a hardworking, honest and dedicated individual, has relied on his truck and the equipment within it for his livelihood. He has built a successful small business through years with integrity, perseverance and passion. However, this incident has not only robbed him of his personal belongings but has also dealt a severe blow to his ability to continue operating his business. The stolen goods, which include valuable tools, equipment, and specialized machinery, were essential for my father's day-to-day operations. They enabled him to provide for himself and my mother; who has been in and out of the hospital and has been in long term care for over a year. Losing these tools and severely damaging his truck not only hampers his ability to sustain his business but also threatens his capacity to meet his financial obligations. As a family, we are doing everything we can to navigate this challenging situation. We have filed a police report and are cooperating with the authorities to the best of our ability. Nevertheless, the recovery process will be long and arduous if not impossible based upon what the police have told us. Insurance coverage is non-existent due to State Farm not renewing his policy for stolen goods and will only cover repairing his truck with a significant deductible.
