Hi everybody we are the children of Victor Zepeda Montes Of El Portezuelo Ameca Jalisco Mexico, Karina, Cynthia, Victor and Destiny, our dad went to his hometown/ranch to visit and spend some time with his family and our grandpa but while he was there he got sick and got an infection at his port site for his Dialysis catheter, well as we feared he got weaker and fell ill on July 3rd, he was sent to the local small hospital in Ameca, the treatments he needs weren’t offered so easily and because of that he was waiting for his treatment and when he finally got some treatments, his body couldn’t handle or tolerate and unfortunately he went into cardiac arrest, our dad was lifeless for 40 mins, they were able to get him back but right now they are running tests to see his brain activity and continuing his dialysis treatments which are costly and only give them to him if the family can pay in advance, we’re asking our friends and family to help in anyway possible, I’m 9 months pregnant so I can’t travel anymore and can’t come to see my dad or work to help my siblings, as the oldest it’s hard to imagine this all falling on their shoulders but as much as I don’t want that it’s happening, my dad is stuck in Mexico, we tried to tell him to not go “just in case” the worst happened and now we find ourselves only being able to see him through FaceTime. My dad has never been shy about posting his pics and telling his friends and family about his medical conditions lol a man of many words now can’t even make it back home to get the best treatments. He was going to Stanford university lately and was on the Kidney transplant list and is only 47 years old. Anything will help and 100% of it will go towards his needs and our family’s needs that are there helping him. Thank you in advance if anybody wants extra details or needs me to translate this message please reach out. Love you all. Let’s try and get my dad outta this. Update: on Oct 1st 2024 our dad Victor Armando Zepeda Montes passed away. He leaves us behind. Karina (29) Cynthia (27) Victor (20) Destiny (17) and his siblings and father. We all loved my dad very much. Our relationships were not all perfect but in life we have learned that everybody makes mistakes and everybody deserves forgiveness. We all had a great relationship with our dad in the years before his passing. He spent his days. Checking up on his kids, asking about all our own kids, and always encouraging us to keep moving forward and always see the good and keep the faith alive in our hearts while we go through life. My dad was the type of person to be happy just to see the light of day have his coffee and bread, and just seize the moment and make the best of his circumstances. I was always amazed at his good attitude about life, even when it was rough. Rest easy dad you’re no longer suffering. We love you so much. Any donations will be sent to my grandfather for his funeral arrangements and to help us gather his belongings and have them sent back here to us. ♥️
