As you may know, Matt had his tools stolen last weekend from site. After fracturing his ankle, he was unable to drive to bring his tools home as he normally would. By the time he was back driving on Monday 17th of July they had been stolen from site. Over £1500 worth of his Dewalt power tools were taken leaving him unable to complete jobs. Whilst he has reported the incident to the police, their assistance is limited due to the nature of the situation. As a newly qualified joiner, on an apprenticeship wage until recently, he had only paid these tools off in the past year. This incident has the potential to be a real set back in his career, without the tools he is unable to work and consequently not in a position to repurchase them. Numerous people have reached out expressing their keenness to support (both to myself and to Matt), therefore I believe (much to Matt’s uncomfortableness) that the most appropriate way to raise funds and to move forward is to set up this fundraising page to raise the money to replace the tools. I hope this reaches the right audience and the people who know the difficulty of this situation and appreciate Matt’s position can help out. As an indication of the costs these are the tools and estimates of the prices that have been stolen: Track saw with battery and track - £600 Grinder - £100 Plainer - £150 3 chargers - £100 Combi drill - £60 Multi-tool - £90 4 x 5 amp batteries - £200 1 flex volt battery - £130 Thank you for any support.
