Renée was diagnosed February 7th, 2024 with acute myeloid leukemia. She has been in and out of the James Cancer Hospital for the past several months, fighting with the love, prayers, and support of so many family and friends. She has not worked since February. In April more leukemia was found in her skin. Now, the James Cancer Hospital has found her a match for a stem cell transplant, which will require a month's stay at the hospital and then her to live in Columbus for several months for on-going treatment. Her husband, Chip, will also need to stay with her as a caregiver, and as such will be taking leave without pay during this time, meaning they won't have any income for a 3-4 month period, all the while incurring medical bills. Renée's outlook is promising with this transplant, but the financial strain is just another burden. Please help however you can to aid the Huffers to cover medical bills, travel & living expenses, and an apartment nearer to the James Cancer Hospital.
