Welcome to our LFEBridge page dedicated to assisting Jenny and Keenan Hutcheson during their daughter Remi’s courageous journey in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UIHC. Born at just 32 weeks, Remi is a true fighter, but she faces a challenging road ahead due to a heart condition known as Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have the top doctor in the world for this condition right here at UIHC, the only hospital in the United States with a specialized program for Remi’s condition. Remarkably, Remi is among the rare less than 1% of children born at 32 weeks to experience PDA. Currently, Remi is undergoing the first course of treatment, which involves medication and extensive imaging. While she receives the best care possible, Jenny and Keenan are facing financial strain as their household transitions to a single income to support Remi during her long recovery process. Your generous contributions will make a tremendous difference in easing the burden on Jenny and Keenan by covering day-to-day expenses and various household and medical bills during this challenging time. Your support will give them the peace of mind they need to focus entirely on Remi’s well-being and progress. In the spirit of giving back, any surplus funds from this campaign will be donated to UIHC, RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charities), and other charitable organizations that provide vital support to families navigating the NICU journey. Together, we can make a powerful impact on Remi’s life and her family’s, showing them that they are not alone in this fight. Every donation, no matter the size, will be deeply appreciated and will contribute to Remi’s brighter future. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of this meaningful journey with us.
