Hello. My name is Alyssa. On July 11, 2024 my fiance Justin was riding his bike home and got hit by a car. His body went a minimum of 100ft from impact resulting in a fractured hip (his hip ball punched a hole into his lower abdomen), a small brain bleed, a broken shin bone, a broken collar bone, a dislocated thumb, a concussion, a couple of lacerations that required staples & stitches, and many spots of road rash/burns. He was picked up from the site by ambulance, taken to one hospital where they did the x-ray of his hip, and then he was transferred to the hospital where he remained at for the rest of the time. They successfully performed/completed surgery on his hip 7.13.23 allowing him to slowly start his road to recovery. They unfortunately didn't do anything for his broken shin bone but he is no weight bearing on his right side so hopefully, it won't cause any future issues. This does however make him wheelchair-bound for now until he gains strength and approval to start using his leg again. Due to his extensive injuries, he's not able to work cutting our income almost in half. Rent is coming up and we don't know how long he will be out of work. This fund will help us take care of bills and rent until he can get back to work.
