Dear Friends and Supporters, My name is Carmella, and I am a single mother of 3 beautiful children. On november 7th 2024, I woke up to what I thought was a bad headache, I could barely speak, I was sweating ALOT and I had a very uncomfortable tingling sensation in my right arm and was rushed to the emergency room. Little did I know that these seemingly innocuous symptoms were the harbingers of a devastating stroke due to untreated high blood pressure, stress and severe depression. I was so depressed (I've always suffered from depression lots of unhealed trauma, i grew up a foster child for 16 years long story short) I started missing days at work, constant crying, feeling hopeless it cost me my job and eventually I lost my apartment and now the kids and i are currently living in a shelter but we can only stay until November. I am currently on 6 different medications to help aid me with my mental health, and I see a therapist weekly, I must admit, I've learned to deal and cope with my stress and depression better and im ready to get bk on my feet. I even recently got my old job bk but I'm currently catching six buses a day to make it, three to get there and three to bring me bk to the shelter. As a single mother, my children are my world. They are the driving force behind my unwavering determination to overcome this tremendous setback. In order for me to make it out of here it's gonna take lots of emotional strength, financial stability, and a supportive community. Your donation, no matter the size, will make a significant impact on our lives, it would aid in helping us to move into a new apartment so the kids and I would have a place to call home again, fix my truck so we noo longer have to take public transportation, and maybe some clothing for the kids because i could really use help with that. By standing by my side, you are not only helping a single mother rebuild her life, but you are also demonstrating the incredible power of compassion and community. Thank you for being an integral part of my journey to rebuild my life after a stroke. With sincere appreciation, Carmella Strobridge
