On Friday June 30th, Raymond Martinez was struck by a semi truck while riding his motorcycle back to work after his lunch break. Miraculously, he has no damage to his head or brain, but he was in critical condition with severe injuries to his chest and internal organs, requiring the removal of his spleen and kidney. Thanks to the dedicated work of the staff at Good Samaratin in Downers Grove, he is now in stable condition, but there's a long road to recovery ahead of him. Ray is forty-one years old and has two children in high school who absolutely adore him. He is funny, kind, and laidback. It's rare to see him angry, and he always lives in the moment. Any money donated will go to medical expenses as well as any care and support he needs to pull through this.
