Hi, my name is Sherry Potter Fennell, We moved to a town just outside of Augusta, GA, to be right down the street from my favorite uncle, Ron Smelley (uncle Ronnie to me). The morning of July 8th we received some shocking news about his health. He had been struggling for a couple weeks with his left foot not working properly and he fell. The next morning he went to the ER only to find out that he has brain metastases. The brain lesion was causing his leg to not work properly. He had surgery to remove the lesion and moved on to PT to get his leg stronger. He did graduate from PT!! We also found out that the primary cancer is stage 4 lung cancer. I know many of you know my uncle personally. For those of you who do not know him, he has always been a very hard working man and has the most kind heart and would do anything for anyone. He’s is married to the love of his life, Laura West Smelley. I am starting this page to see if you can help in any way to help them through their fight. My Aunt Laura will need to miss work for a while to help care for my uncle. If you can help with a donation, no amount is too small, I would appreciate it.
