Hi, my name is Duane. I have four dogs, four cats, and expenses related to same, plus the usual people things. The problem is that my expenses outweigh my income. My rent is 3/4 of what I receive from SSDI. I'm not able to work a regular job. I am on oxygen 24/7, have in addition chronic pain and fatigue issues arising from treatment for the lung diseases that almost killed me in 2011, and a month-long hospital stay in 2024 due to COVID. I am a freelance writer and this is the age of A. I. content. Receptive markets have dried up. Speculative fiction doesn't pay the bills, and journalism isn't much better. I have back electric bills totaling 700.00. If you could throw even a buck or two my way, it'd help me move forward. Thanks for anything you can do. I was on PBS Newshour February 8, talking about this kind of issue. PBS Newshour interview.
