Hello. My name is Katie and I'm hoping to be able to help raise money for a wheelchair-accessible van for a good friend of mine, Justin Howell. Justin was in a diving accident 11 years ago that left him paralyzed. He is a quadriplegic that requires assistance from others for most daily activities. As you can imagine, this is a very traumatic experience to go through. Justin has next to no freedom as he is unable to leave his house without public assistance. Unfortunately, public transportation is not reliable. There have been a few instances where Justin has needed to leave his home for appointments and was unable to make these appointments because his transportation did not arrive even though he had scheduled his pick-up. If there were ever an emergency where Justin needed to get to a doctor or hospital quickly, this would be impossible because he does not have a reliable mode of transportation. I am begging you for assistance in helping me raise money to get Justin a reliable vehicle to be able to get him to and from appointments and out of the house to be able to participate in the community as a normal citizen should.
