Surgery is on for TODAY 07/18! Thank you so much to everyone who donated, shared, commented, or even just viewed any of my posts! Unfortunately (and embarrassingly) I very-much underestimated the cost of the surgery. I set the funding goal based on the price I was quoted back in 2024. So, I'm revising the funding goal to include the updated cost. I'm also including the cost for the same surgery for my other cat, Newton. He's Kepler's brother (like an actual littermate) and has the same condition (Stomatitis). His hasn't progressed as far or fast as Kepler, but he was the first one to start chattering his jaw many months ago (he stopped months ago as well), and he's eating awfully gingerly lately. Any way, it's unreasonably late. I need to get some sleep so I can get this little stinking, drooling, ball of orange fur to the vet hospital. Keep an eye out for my future updates and comment, share, and do all that good Internet stuff to 'em! Original post: ___________________________________________________________________- Hi all,My cat Kepler is bad shape and desperately in need of a comprehensive dental procedure that I can’t afford at all. Kepler in better days:To be frank: this is an emergency situation. He has several teeth in need of extraction and worse yet they’ve become infected. His jaw is chattering, he’s drooling constantly, and he can’t drink water anymore.
