NEW UPDATE ON ROCKY: He’s been doing really well at home. He still is not allowed to run, jump or get overly excited. He tries so hard to play and we have to shut him down, which is so heartbreaking. He still needs to second surgery so I am still needing as much help as I can get. His regular vet bills are high as well getting his bloodwork is $250 each time. So if anyone could help and/or share this it would be greatly appreciated. ❤️ UPDATE ON ROCKY: Rocky was healing well, his hernia is back and the suture in the diaphragm opened and parts of his stomach and possibly liver has moved back into his chest. The surgeons do not want to go back in until his liver enzymes and protein levels are at a healthy level. We have him home for now on multiple medications, prescription GI soft food, no running, no jumping. We are watching and treating him like a China doll. So now our bill is going to increase for a second surgery, so please pray for my baby boy. Anything you can help with would be greatly appreciated. ❤️❤️ My name is Wendy and I am trying to raise $20,000 for my sweet boy Rocky's vet hospital bills. He is a Rhodesian Ridgeback and anyone who knows this breed knows how loving and protective they are. He had emergency surgery to repair a diaphragmatic hernia and he was septic. Rocky is my child and I love him more than anything in this world, he has been here for me emotionally and always makes a bad day so much better. He goes everywhere with me. He is included in everything I do. The hernia was where his diaphragm split open and his stomach, liver and intestines moved into his chest cavity constricting his lungs and heart making it extremely difficult to breathe. He also had massive fluid in his chest and abdomen that was septic. He barely survived surgery but looks and feels better every day so far. His liver enzymes are high but seem to be stabilizing. I am single and on one income and need all of the help I can get to get my baby home. I miss our long walks and he LOVES to swim. Anything outdoors he is at his happiest. Rocky has never had any health problems, I have had him since he was 2 months old, and he will be turning 4 in October. The one thing he has not done yet is see the ocean and I have that on the list for when he comes home and is fully recovered. Anyone who is an animal lover knows how important our fur babies are to us, they are family!!!! If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it. All of the funds will be going direct to the UGA Veterinary Hospital to cover his bill. Thank you so much for hearing my story.
