My name is Tracy Kallatsa and I am setting up this fundraiser to help my sister, Wendy Preston, during a difficult time. She went into the hospital on September 6th for what we thought was a routine procedure to remove an ulcer and to fix a hiatal hernia. The surgery ended up taking 6 1/2 hours and she was put into a critical care unit where they could closely monitor her. On September 10th, a CT scan showed that she had an intestinal blockage so she went into surgery again. Afterward, she had an 8" incision on her abdomen. The doctors had to attach a wound vac to her stomach to help it heal from the inside out for quicker healing. What was supposed to be one to two nights in the hospital turned into three weeks. During her time in the hospital Wendy had 4 blood transfusions and before going home was moved to a rehabilitation facility for two weeks for further recovery. Being out of work for 8 1/2 weeks has put a financial burden on Wendy. After being medically cleared to return to work on November 6th, she was in a major rollover accident today which totaled her car and put her back in the hospital. She is already three months behind in rent and two months behind on her car that was in the accident. Please help me ease the financial burden on my sister so she can continue to focus on healing.
