Currently, my three-year-old daughter and I find ourselves in a challenging situation. We were unexpectedly sent to a shelter in Rockland County, NY, with no prior notice. In order to secure a roof over our heads, I had to leave my job and exhaust all my savings. Unfortunately, this shelter has been difficult for me to adjust to, as I suffer from severe anxiety and depression. The shelter is run by a woman who has made it clear that she is kind to children but not to adults. Many of us residing here share the desire to leave, but we are trapped due to various circumstances. Additionally, I am required to surrender my food stamps each month. We are desperately seeking any assistance that anyone can provide to help us secure a studio apartment and get back on our feet. Our ultimate goal is to find a safe and stable home where my daughter and I can rebuild our lives. Your support would mean the world to us during this difficult time.
