Hi. I’m Lev Poplow and I never thought I’d be turning to LFEBridge for help. Then again, I didn’t think I’d have cancer. Who does, right? After months of probing, poking, and prodding (MRIs, bone scans, CAT scans, PET scans, ultra-sounds, and multiple biopsies) my life got turned upside down when it was determined that I have two kinds of cancer – Lymphoma and Prostate. I’m now 8 months into my journey and the financial difficulties that come with combatting this disease have caught up with me. The financial burden associated with my medical expenses, ongoing treatments, and loss of income due to not being able to work full-time has become overwhelming. The side effects of multiple rounds of ongoing chemotherapy and radiation have made it difficult for me to work for more than a couple of hours each day. And, being self-employed, I’m not eligible for to receive Temporary Disability Insurance from the state. Unfortunately, my income is solely derived from my ability to work and I am now afraid that I may end up homeless at the same time as I am fighting this disease. I humbly come to you with an open heart to ask for your support. I have created this LFEBridge campaign to raise funds that will directly contribute to my medical expenses and ability to stay in my home until I am able to work full-time again. Your generous donations will help cover the costs of medical treatments, medications, laboratory tests, and doctor consultations that are not covered by insurance and help keep me in my home until I’m on my feet again. I am hopeful that in the long run, I will be fine. In the short run, I’m deathly afraid that I will end up bankrupt and homeless. Your help will enable me to see this battle through to the finish line and rebuild my life. I have set a goal of $15,000.
