Hello. My name is Gela. I am the uncle of 8 year old Mariam. Mariam has recently been experiencing episodes of vomiting, headaches and coordination impairment. She has recently been diagnosed with a Medulloblastoma with metastasis to the spinal column. Mariam has since received resection of the mass lesion and has been transferred to a clinic in Turkey to receive radiation therapy. Mariam still requires brain bypass surgery, major catheter placements, 30 sessions of targeted radiation therapy and chemotherapy after the radiation therapy is carried out. Unfortunately, Mariam's family is financially struggling to afford all of this treatment and in order for the treatment and surgeries to take place, cash must be paid upfront.
