Hi! My name is Patty and I’m looking to raise funds on behalf of my husband Keith, and our family for medical expenses. On July 6, while walking our dog before work, Keith suffered what he thought was a heart attack. After getting transported to the hospital, it was found to be much worse than a heart attack, and he was in need of immediate open heart surgery and CareFlighted to the nearby heart hospital. He had a 13-hr surgery and then another the next day. In the hospital, there were a couple obstacles that paused his recovery, extending his stay. He has since returned home to recover and will be out of work as a mail carrier for close to 3 months. Recently, the USPS cut the pay for many carriers nationwide and with both of us as mail carriers, both our incomes received significant cuts. For those that don’t know him, Keith is a very active person. He works out every day, is an avid bike rider, as well as a singer/songwriter and bassist for his band Homestead Underground Band. He is a patient, loving, fun, hardworking husband, father, and grandfather. He goes out of his way to help others in need. We have organized and held block parties for our neighbors. The funds we receive will go toward medical bills and expenses to help as he continues to make progress in his long recovery.
