Hi, I am hoping to help a Veteran that is in need. He is an elderly man who is a Vietnam Veteran. He has been trying to do small handyman jobs to make money but now his age has caught up with him. He is currently behind one month on his mortgage and his roof needs to be replaced. When he was younger he would have done the roof work himself but now he is too old and weak to do the work. I am trying to help him to get a new roof put on and get caught up with his bills. He spent all of his savings trying to buy materials to fix the roof and has a lot of the materials but needs the roof put on. At this point, I am not sure if the materials are even still usable since they have been there for a while. The house he lives in has been in his family for a long time. He does not want to sell or lose the house. If we can find a way to come together to help him he can get the roof fixed and get caught up financially. I have tried to find many Veterans groups to help him but no one has responded. If it is in your heart to donate anything it will truly go to someone in need. He is divorced and has no family to help him. Thank you for any possible donation. He is currently enrolled in a program to teach seniors how to work on computers for tech support so he hopes he can make a little bit of money combined with his social security and VA disability so this does not happen again. He just became behind in the mortgage and I want to help him now if we can before it snowballs.
