My brother, Jake, has been through a lot over the last five years. His passion for restoring old cars and his skills as a welder and mechanic have been one of his only constants. He has poured countless hours and money into restoring his 1970 Ford in dad’s garage. Sadly, he lost his car along with a ton of hunting and fishing gear, his tools, welding equipment, and more on Sunday, July 10th to a garage fire. Since it wasn’t quite drivable yet, he didn’t have it insured. And since it wasn’t is my dads name, it won’t be covered under his insurance at all. We’re obviously so thankful that no one got hurt. People are not replaceable, but cars are. Jake himself even said “it’s just a car”, but I also know how much it means to him. We’re so thankful to everyone who’s reached our asking what they can do. I decided to open this for Jake (he doesn’t even know) to give him a little boost. If you have the means, we so appreciate any help you can offer!
