Hi, I’m Dylan’s mom, LeeAnn. As many of you know I have several medical issues but I would like to spotlight Dylan. A few months ago Dylan started going to the doctor because he had some spots he wanted to get checked out. He had a travel job with a dance company so at the end of the travel job when he was home more than twice a week he began seeing a dermatologist. The Dr did some biopsies and tried some medication, however the condition became worse. Dylan went to a family vacation and flew home early and spent the next 10 days going through even more tests, labs, biopsies and medication. He now had blisters, sores and lesions all over his back, chest, face, scalp and neck. During this time there was close to a month he wasn’t able to wear a shirt and definitely not able to work. His insurance did not cover some of his medications at this time and he paid so much out of pocket. Dylan has always put others over himself. When he was in high school he worked a full time job over the summer I was sick just to pay all our household bills & never once complained. Dylan has been diagnosed with Pemphigus Foliaceus. This is a rare autoimmune disease. He has just started his treatments and medications. So far he’s having some tough times with medication and feeling sick after. After the first 4 days they have already adjusted the dose. I know it’s going to be a long road. I know Dylan has so many in his village that care about him. I just want to try to help Dylan financially so he doesn’t have to worry if he misses work or needs more medical stuff that is not covered. Any amount helps. It’s very hard for us to ask for help so I appreciate anything to help him out. This has taken a toll on him mentally and physically for him just to deal with this disease.
