Hi, my name is Cathy and I've started this fundraiser to help my cousin, Patrick, pay his medical bills. Patrick was diagnosed with Stage 3, early stage 4 Prostate cancer on December 13, 2024, just seven months after his dad passed away from lung cancer. Because it had spread to the lymph nodes also, it is metastatic cancer. His 44 rounds of radiation (4/11 - 6/12), monthly injections (almost $2000 each) and labs/office visits have currently accumulated to about $11,500 but that will continue to grow as he'll need injections through January of 2025 and they are slow with billing so not everything has been billed yet. He does have insurance, but it's not covering everything. Any donations, big or small, will be greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps. Thanks for reading and considering to help. August 14, 2024 Patrick developed a painful lump on the left side of his neck that caused him to go to the ER. The next day he has his labs, Dr. visit, and monthly injection. It was decided to take a biopsy on the 18th. That ended up being pretty unsuccessful due to pain and a surgical biopsy and lymph node excision was scheduled for the 31st. A 3 cm lump was removed and the biopsy diagnosis was “compatible with metastasis of prostate carcinoma”.
