On July 13th Randy went into Centennial Hills Hospital due to having a hard time breathing and severe chest pains. The ER medical team started right away with EKG and blood work. Randy’s first blood test for troponin (which shows heart attach signs) was 104. The next reading later that evening was 126. EKG came back with normal results. The stress test provided at the time to be negative (fast forward to what we know now, and this was a false negative). At this time the chest pain felt intense he described it as crushing and he would pass out. He was given morphine which allowed him to rest. More bloodwork was ordered, and that troponin level showed over 800 and that that time a heart catheter was ordered. The Heart cath test showed 3 blockages on the left side vessel, 99% blockage on the right-side vessel. He is scheduled for triple bypass surgery the week of the 17th. The amount of research and education the doctors have with these procedures has a huge success rate. The surgery is so intricate (we do not recommend watching the videos on YouTube, unless you really want to) and we have complete faith in God with the outcome, the post-op recovery time can be a journey. A journey that Randy needs to have complete focus and no distractions. Since there is no definite timeline but a suggested timeframe of at least 4 – 6 weeks, possibly longer that Randy will be out of work. And while he will miss dealing poker to his guests, because he truly loves his job – he will be focusing on his recovery and health. Any donation would be greatly appreciated to cover the monthly billing expenses while Randy is off work so he can have less stress and worry about financial obligations and focus solely on his recovery. All proceeds will go to Randy Martinez. Thank you in advance for donations, shares of this page, and prayers.
