We are raising funds on behalf of our dear friend, Callie Cate. Callie is a follower of Jesus, a loving wife, a devoted mother to four young boys, and an unshakeable pillar of strength. She is currently battling a life-altering medical condition. In the summer of 2024, Callie began experiencing right sided weakness and difficulty with her right hand. Tests revealed a frightening diagnosis: a tumor and brain bleed in her brain stem that required immediate and risky surgery. Many of you prayerfully walked through this journey with Callie and her family. This terrifying experience was a successful one, and we are so grateful for her surgeons. You can read more about that journey here - https://posthope.org/callies-brain/journal/ Recently, post-surgery complications have left Callie with excruciating pain in the left side of her face and her right leg and foot. This pain has continued to increase to the point where even daily tasks are difficult. After much prayer and consideration, Callie and Daniel decided it would be best for her health and family time if she took a step back from her job as a hair stylist. Callie loves her clients and the work, making this a very difficult decision that also impacted their family financially. Despite well over a year of searching for answers, our current health care system has not been able to provide all the support she needs. They have found a promising solution in a specialist doctor based in North Carolina who can provide her with the specialized treatment she desperately needs. This treatment comes with a daunting price tag. Insurance will not cover the treatments. Additionally, Callie will have to relocate to North Carolina for several months away from Daniel and their four young boys. Their hope is to begin around the middle of August. We are trying to raise $40,000. This amount would cover the cost of the treatments and the associated expenses listed below: Treatments Lodging Meals Travel fees for Callie Travel fees for Daniel to visit her occasionally Provisions for childcare and help at home Callie's hope doesn’t lie in what her body can or cannot do, her hope is in The Lord. Her prayer is that the Lord would continue to grow her faith in Him through this experience. With your financial help, she can get back to being the active wife, mom, and friend that we all have known her to be. Your donation—no matter how big or small—will make a significant difference in Callie's journey towards recovery. Your contributions will provide her with the necessary financial support and your prayers will supply her with the strength and courage to continue this fight. We have the opportunity to be like the Philippians were to Paul: to partner with her in her hardship (Philippians 4:14). Let's come together as a community to help Callie overcome this challenging trial. It is not just about reaching the financial goal, but more importantly, wrapping Callie and her family in love and support during this time when they need it the most. Thank you so much for your generosity, your prayers, and for sharing Callie's story with others.
