On July 13th Parnell Griggs and myself visited one of two available hospitals near us to hear those deafening words, we can't help you. Words that have plagued our family for several months now. We were told we need to go to Houston or close too where the bigger hospitals are and to seek multiple specialists one being an Oncologist. While we know this can have so many possible outcomes the worst is the one we need to rule out first. No one wants to here these words and its has been said enough times to sink in over the very real reality of this. Today, those words were heard, and as much as we were prepared for the Cancer words, it is our Reality now. Hearing this was like re opening a very deep wound its is heartbreaking. Our world is our children and Eachother and as we pray everyday we know we can't take on our world without some Assistance. We are doing everything we possibly can to ensure he gets somewhere quickly with care from his new dr to have a biopsy to find out what kind. This, will also be occuring quickly as this has spread so fast. However due to the nature of his job ( contractor), treatments and dr. Appointments are going to be taking so much physically and mentally he will not be able to work much. We will be looking into short term disability, but knowing that takes time, we know we wont be able to afford travel expenses and our daily family needs. We feel we have not many options or control over this and is so hard having to ask. However, we humbly for any kind of assistance. Anything at all will help Thank you and God bless!
