Battling Parkinson's disease for some time now, Padraig began The Summit Show and Run, with friends who shared a common passion for classic cars with a desire to make a difference to those in the community also living with the disease. Padraig's spirit and unconditional support of the local community and friends inspired the family and team to create an annual event that would celebrate their shared love for classic cars and at the same time raise funds for Parkinson's Support Fermanagh. The event showcases vintage cars but also brings together families, friends, and car enthusiasts together to create a positive change. Classic cars travel from all areas of Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Engalnd to Knockninny before setting off on a 108 mile long run - knowing that every mile covered makes a positive impact on those living with Parkinson's. The Summit Show and Run will take place August 5th and 6th at Knockninny Country House, Derrylin, Co. Fermanagh Saturday 5th The Summit Show, Knockninny Country House 12pm - Open to the Public 100 Classic cars, DJ, BBQ, Ice cream, Car of the Show Competiton, PSNI, NIFRS, RNLI Mountain Rescue, Merchandise and Motor part stalls. Sunday 6th The Summit Run, Classic Car Run Stop 1 11.15-12pm – St.Aidans High School for public viewing Stop 2 2pm – Macnean Antiques Blacklion, Co.Cavan Returning 3.30-4pm – Return to Knockninny Country House, BBQ, Music tbc Get Involved - Volunteers and Marshals Needed To ensure smooth and safe running of our event, if you are available to volunteer or marshal throughout the weekend contact us.
