CM's part in the battle against cancer. This year, we (a group of 4 Catholic Memorial nights - Samuel Gonser, Matthew Doherty, Brendan McKinney, and Patrick Blomberg) will be attempting to raise over $20,000 for cancer research. We'll be doing it through the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). For those of you who don’t know, the PMC is a bike-a-thon meant to raise money on behalf of cancer research. 100% of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. This organization is Dana-Farber’s largest supporter and accounts for over 60% of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Over the past 43 years, the organization has raised almost $1 billion for cancer research. The PMC is an extremely valuable and valued organization that brings people of all ages together for a common cause - a cure. Our fundraising this year will be on behalf of the Patriot Platelet Pedalers’ (PPP) organization. What this means is we’ll be directing funds to Dr. Ken Anderson of Dana Farber who specializes in research for multiple myeloma and stem cell/bone marrow transplants. The PMC is a group of thousands of people, interconnected and unified in a common goal. Yet, that organization is nothing without the support of the thousands that donate. The organization relies on people like you for its success. Any donation you can make will help this cause. We're attempting to raise $20,000 and need your help to do so. Funds generated by this go-fund-me will be distributed evenly between all 4 of us. Additionally, if you want to donate directly, you can go to pmc.org and search our names in the donate bar in the top right corner of the site. Regardless, thanks for helping this cause.
