I’ve been diagnosed with severe lung disease. I went in the hospital thinking that I had pneumonia. After not responding to antibiotics and steroids for 2 weeks I was transferred by emergency from Atlantic City Medical Center to Cooper University Medical Center where I was upon arrival placed on a ventilator and ecmo machine and placed in a medically induced coma. After a week, the ventilator was removed and they woke me up to be told that I needed a lung transplant and will remain on the ecmo machine until a lung is available. I’m hoping to be able to get lungs and return to Florida to the people that I care about most. I’m going to need lots of physical therapy and recovery to get back to looping for the people I love. As you know my only income comes from tip money and I have been in the hospital for 4 weeks with a long road ahead. Any help is greatly appreciated.
