Dear friends, family, and caring individuals, In April 2024, our dear friend Nicole "Nikki" Pinto received a devastating diagnosis when doctors discovered she had CNS lymphoma, a rare cancer that affects the lymph nodes of the brain and the central nervous system. Since her diagnosis, Nikki has undergone numerous treatments to fight the cancer, including multiple rounds of chemo and stem cell replacement therapy. An MRI in March 2024 revealed that the cancer had not responded to treatment and was growing rapidly. Nikki's oncologist referred her to City of Hope, a world-class cancer research and treatment center in L.A., where she was enrolled in a potentially life-saving clinical trial to treat the cancer. Nikki is currently receiving treatment at City of Hope and has a long and challenging road ahead. Her response to the clinical trial has resulted in the need for more medication, treatment, monitoring, and ongoing care. Her dedicated and loving husband Pete has been her rock throughout this cancer journey, and he is currently staying with her in L.A. for the extent of the trial. Pete has taken an extended leave from work to care for Nikki and remain by her side during this time. This fundraising campaign has been created to rally support and raise funds to ensure that Nikki can focus on healing and recovery at this critical time. Your donations, regardless of the amount, will help Nikki and Pete with unexpected expenses and will alleviate financial stress at a time when circumstances have forced them both to take extended leave from work. To help amplify our collective impact and bring us closer to our fundraising goal, we ask that you kindly share this campaign with others, reaching out to your networks to spread the word. Thank you from the depths of our hearts for being a part of Nikki's journey to defeat CNS lymphoma. Your support will help alleviate financial burdens for her family and will also remind her that she is surrounded by caring individuals rooting for her victory over cancer.
