My niece Nika, who is a single parent to her adorable son Lorenzo, has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This news has devastated our family. You see, Nika never got to meet her grandmother, Diane. Diane was a wonderful daughter, wife, sister, mother, and aunt that left this world way too soon. Diane had Breast Cancer, which she ultimately lost her battle with before Nika was born. You can imagine, how scary it was for Nika to learn, that the very disease that took her grandmother’s life, is something that she is now battling. However, we are hopeful that with current treatments available it will ensure an optimistic prognosis for our beautiful Nika. Our family asks you to include Nika in your prayers, but many have also asked how you can contribute. Funds raised will go towards medical costs, medical supplies and household utility expenses that will be needed throughout her surgery and treatment as she fights against Breast Cancer. On behalf of Nika and Lorenzo, their closest friends, and the entire family, we appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and support shown over the past few weeks and undoubtedly, in the months to come. We understand if you aren’t able to donate at this time, but we ask that you please share this, in hopes that we can get Nika peace of mind, that she can get the treatment she needs and not have to have the additional stress of how she will afford life’s day to day expenses.
