Saul is a 19 year old student who goes to Sunrise Mountain High School. He is smart, caring, funny, driven, a hard-worker, sweet, and most of all just like any other kid. However, Saul was born with cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy is a lifelong physical disability that affects movement and posture. It is due to damage to the developing brain either during pregnancy or shortly after birth. Cerebral palsy has effected Saul's speech which results in him being nonverbal, and also has impacted his ability to walk causing him to be in a wheelchair. The power wheelchair that Saul currently has was donated a few years ago and is very torn up. It has broken down multiple times, and does not fit Saul properly so it's not very comfortable for him. As of now, Saul is in a manual wheelchair that needs to be pushed around and that is not custom fit for him. For most of us, we can walk around and go where we want to go to be independent. Saul however relies on his wheelchair to have independence and to get around. We are trying to raise $7,000 to get Saul a custom built power wheelchair. We hope to raise this money as soon as possible. We greatly appreciate every donation, and thank you in advance!
