I just had an injury to my left knee. The doctor says that it looks like a medial meniscus tear. Depending on exactly where the tear is, it won't heal on its own and will require surgery. The first step is imaging to determine exactly where the tear is and how severe it is. And then, the surgery itself. X-rays were inconclusive (expected) so we'll need an MRI and possibly other imaging. Unfortunately, my insurance doesn't even begin to kick in until a rather high deductible is met. And as a struggling single father, I just don't have the money to cover that. I'll need funds, first for the imaging, then for the surgery itself and finally for physical therapy/rehab after the surgery. This will use up the deductible in my insurance which is the amount I have listed above.
