Hi my name is Karis, let me start at the beginning. Jan. 3rd, 2024. A Sheriff knocks on my door and said my husband has passed away at work. He drove a semi and pulled up on the scale and pulled his parking brake and had an aneurism in his stomach burst and had a massive heartattack. He was 55 years old. It was a shock to us ( my mom lives with me). Then February my 18 year old lhasa aspo passed away, March I had my gallbladder removed, April the house we rent the septic backed up, May my esclade broke down still needs tires. July my foot wound opened up and now I get told we have until February to find a place and move. My mom Shirley, is 74 and I am disabled because I keep getting wounds on my feet. I had to use my July rent to fix my car. So I am behind there and we both don't make enough to put a down payment on a place. I know of a place in northern AZ that if they have the funds they can help us buy a home but, you have to have $6000.00 or more I. Your bank for 3 to 4 months and I am behind on rent of $1000.00. Plus my mom can do a little to help us move but with my foot having a wound again I am to try to stay off it as much as possible but. That's hard when you know you have to pack up 12 years of your life to and not have anyplace to go. I am feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, defeated and scared we will be living in a tent somewhere. I promised my dad I would take care of mom and I was doing OK but, our futures are scary and I don't want to let my mom down. I don't know where else to turn to. So I saw this on a neighborhood board and thought it's worth trying. So if you donate thank you from the bottom of my heart. I sincerely mean it.
