Hi, my name is Shelby and I’m fundraising for my Dad Neal Leno, his sister Gail O’Connell, and their father William (Grampie) Leno If anyone has had the pleasure of meeting my Dad Neal Leno, his sister Gail or their dad William also known as Grampie to many You would know they are some of the kindest people, who would do anything to help others! Unfortunately Grampie fell and broke his hip in March. He was admitted to a rehab where sadly he was neglected and left with a massive bed sore that ate away at his bone, tissue, and muscle. After numerous surgeries he had a wound vacuum placed which he still has. He requires a very expensive bed to help him heal that cost $3,000 a day. Since then he has been battling rehabilitation and numerous infections. With many places being short staffed and many places not willing to accomadate grampie or ignore his wishes my dad cooks grampie eggs every morning because staff will not remove peppers from his eggs. Nurses have not shown up for their shift so my dad has had to ensure grampie was given his medicine at different points in the day. At one point his wound vacuum broke and my dad fixed it with zip ties. Sadly the health care system is broken and they are working with it to the best of their ability. He will eventually require home nursing when he can return home. My dad has not been working since grampie was hurt to be with him and help care for his mom. His sister Gail has accrued travel expenses in coming up from myrtle beach to help when she can and be with them. Gail as arranged numerous meetings, meals on wheels for her mom and handles many other tasks. She has used up all her FMLA so she has limited time this year. They would never ask for help but bills continue to grow for all three of them. If you could help them in any way it would be much appreciated! UPDATE!
