In the blink of an eye our lives can be forever changed! Tragically that is what happened on July 21, 2024. Nathan was going to clean his new 380 hand gun and thought he had cleared the chamber. Unfortunately, he hadn't.The gun went off and the bullet entered through his neck and is lodged beside his spine. Melodie called 911 and put pressure to control the bleeding until EMS got there and flew him to Spartanburg Medical Hospital. With the impact of the bullet he had fractures in his spine. He had to have surgery to repair his spine with rod and pins. The medical team has decided to leave the bullet due to its location. Until he heals and the swelling goes down, The doctors and surgeons don't know if Nathan will walk again. Jesus does!! It will all depend on how he heals. He will need months and months of rehabilitation. It could be weeks before he is released from the hospital and then he will go to spine rehabilitation center in Greenville, SC. We are asking for your continued prayers! They recognize the love and support they've been given and are greatly appreciative. Melodie and his parents have not left Nathan's side. When he is transferred to Rehab he does have some insurance coverage, but it is limited. We have set up a LFEBridge page to help with his expenses and basic cost of living, for Nathan. Every donation goes to his account. He has a long road ahead of him. So I humbly ask for those that can contribute, any amount small or large, Theres no way we can place a dollar amount on the value of continued prayers for Nathan. Thank you and God bless!
