Our good friend Nancy Steinecke is in a time of heavy medical issues and a lack of income. In early June, Nancy passed out and fell at home, requiring a visit to the ER in Waimea where she had various scans and was diagnosed with a brain bleed of 3 subdural hematomas along with severely bruised ribs and contusions to her face. She had to be Air MedEvaced to O'ahu Queens Hospital where she had additional tests before being allowed to return to Waimea. Nancy had another episode on June 30th and returned to the ER on the Big Island and required repeat CT scans and an MRI. She is presently undergoing tests from cardiology and neurology and physical therapy to determine what caused her to unexpectedly blackout and to see whether further more extensive treatment is necessary for the subdural hematomas. Although the primary wage earner, she is not allowed to work or be active( no driving, lifting, head-turning, or stress.) until further doctor's directions. Due to mounting medical expenses and no income, monetary would be appreciated.
