Our dear friend Nessa and her beautiful little family returned home to Ireland from Australia after 9years to settle down with their 3yr old son Luke. In the December (2024 ) they received the devastating news that her Husband Muiris age 39yrs has stage 4 Lung Cancer which is inoperable. Their rather simple and humble life has been turned upside to say the least. They were due to be married sometime In the future but due to his diagnoses they were married quickly with no formal ceremony or celebration. Muiris is a kind, wholesome and gentle man who loves the ocean, deep sea diving, photography and above anything his family. As close friends receiving news like this you want to do anything to make it better and take their suffering and pain away but there really isn't much at all except lending an ear or a shoulder to cry on and your prayers. So in an effort to support on any other level we can we have chosen to take on a couple of physical challenges in the new year to raise funds for their financial support. To get things warmed up we will be completing The Fan Dance Winter Series (6th January 2024) This is a gruelling 24km SAS Selection test march staged over Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. The infamous march is the world’s oldest Special Forces test and is used as the first major indicator of whether a candidate has the physical and mental aptitude to complete the legendary Selection course. (HELP) Come May 2024 we will walk 100km along Englands Jurassic Coast in one day (non-stop). If we are not broken by the end of these we may look to take on another...any suggestions welcome (I think) We are grateful for your support. Every little bit of support is appreciated and makes an impact! Thank you, Renae & Jade
