Hello my name is Shackera, I’m starting this gofund on behalf of my aunt. She was born with sickle cell disease and have been battling it her whole life. This has caused multiple hospitalization and a lot of money spent .The sickle cell disease is already such a task on its own but she was recently diagnosed with ischemic heart disease due to the cause of all the medications that she have to take. The effects of the medications has cause blockages to the heart arteries which is making it hard to get oxygen to her brain and heart. My auntie is just 37 years old and has a 11 years old son who’s about to start high school. They live in Jamaica and don’t have access to the healthcare that she needs. My aunt needs a surgery to place a stent in her heart to clear the blockage from her arteries to allow oxygen to flow correctly. The cost for the procedure alone is approximately 3 million Jamaican dollars (13,000 US ). Over the years of constantly being in and out of the hospital, has made it difficult to keep a job consistently, leaving her savings completely depleted. My aunt means the world to me and her son needs her. So we are seeking any assistance that we can get to help her get this very urgent life saving surgery as soon possible.
