If you have been to Bellview Elementary, then you probably have run into Mr. Eddie.  He's the guy with a kind word greeting you at the front door, the man who warms hearts with a hug, and he ALWAYS has a smile on his face (despite what is shared below).  He's the head custodian at our school, and he is a big part of our family. When you talk to Mr. Eddie, he will ask, "How are you?" with a smile.  I can hear his voice as I type it because it's an every day event.  In return, you might ask how he's doing, and he will always tell you that he's doing well or that things are okay.  He's always the FIRST one to step up to help others, and Mr. Eddie doesn't ask for help from others when needed.  All of that said, you might not know what is going on in his home right now.  With his permission, I'm sharing this and hoping that if you are able to help that you will consider doing so or sharing this with others. Mr. Eddie's wife has been sick.  She has cancer.  He is putting his family first and working hard to provide for them.  As you can probably imagine, this isn't easy with added medical expenses.  Recently, doctors informed him that more spots were found and they will require additional radiation treatments.  This is piling more money into medicine, visits, etc. in addition to his usual bills. Again, Mr. Eddie is working hard to do what he can, and he told me that he always thinks that he and his family will be okay.  My goal is for him to KNOW that he's been given a helping hand to help him not worry about these costs.  He truly is grateful for the assistance. Please consider helping out.  He gives to our students and helps us out on a daily basis.  This is a small token of gratitude that we can give back to him and his family.  Thank you!
