As some of you may already know, on Friday, October 16, our perfectly healthy, energetic, and happy seven year-old daughter, Genavieve, was diagnosed with Diffuse Infiltrating Pontine Glioma. On that day we learned that Genavieve had a rare, inoperable and basically untreatable brain stem tumor that would take her life in months. As you can only imagine, no parent is ever ready to receive news like this. The pain in my heart and body, as we listened to the doctor delivering this diagnosis, was a pain that no parent should ever experience. Even in the midst of chaos--when man says there is no cure and the only treatment would be radiation that would only extend her life by a few months. We however, are holding onto the Lord's promises. We hold His promises close to our hearts, knowing that He can do all things. If our faith was as small as a mustard seed, we could tell this mountain to move, and it would move. With this type of faith, we are holding his promises close to our hearts, knowing that HE who lives within us is faithful, and HE will do it! Our family is determined to make all the changes necessary in order to make sure we are providing a healthy environment needed for her immune system to thrive. Simple changes, such as: pots and pans from non-stick to stainless steel, non-bpa and non-lead mixing bowls made from organic materials. Alkaline water is now necessary, as it impedes the tumor from growing. Genavieve can only eat all organic grass-fed food products due to the new diet that we have now adopted; this has definitely tightened our finances. In reality, all cookware, food, body wash, body lotions, hair products, cleaning products must be completely reassessed. I will also be shifting from working full time with medical benefits to staying home full time to attend to the needs of my daughter. All this to say: we need your help now more than ever, both financially and spiritually. We ask that you please pray for the healing of daughter, that God will heal her and that He would be glorified through it all. We also appreciate any financial support.
