Moving and Living costs for Ernie Meissner Hi, my name is Liesl Meissner and I'm raising funds to help with my Dad's move into a new care home and aid for living costs that frankly can't be covered on his small disability budget. Dad's lived a full life and I'm hoping to make however much time we still have together, be it two years or twenty, just as rich and full as I can. A championship skier raised in Central Oregon, Dad trained and raced in places like Norway and Russia, broke his neck in there somewhere, became a college ski coach that trained a horde of world-class racers, survived a brain tumor in his 30s and kept coaching, moved back to the mountains that he was raised in and in his retirement all the years of being hard on his body caught up with him. Due to complications with a stroke and dementia, and a few other things, he's needed to lived in some form of care for the past six years. Recently I was able to find him a place that's much closer to my own home, and after about a month of applications and paperwork, we got him moved in! Ultimately it's going to make our lives and time together so much easier, but the burden of the past years of several relocations and finding the right care for him have caught up to me and I need your help! Funds will be used to cover things like: Apartment furnishings not covered by Medicaid. New clothing Basic amenities Transportation Costs Emergency fund in the case of any accidents or unforseen issues
