There is never a convenient time for cancer and I know this family never wants to ask for help. So here we are, asking for them. Monica was diagnosed with colon cancer on the day her son turned 6 weeks old. To say the least, the whole family was devastated. Ben and Monica have been through a tremendous amount of heartache in the last two years. In May, they were blessed with a son, Archie, which led them to more happiness than they could ever imagine. However, now they are facing yet another difficult challenge of colon cancer. Monica will have approximately 1.5 feet of her colon removed in a few weeks and possibly chemotherapy. She is also in the process of switching school districts, which will result in a gap and change of insurance coverage and salary. We are hoping this money can offset the cost of COBRA insurance, any gaps mentioned above, surgery, medications and frequent trips to St. Louis. We believe she will beat this cancer, but the cost is sometimes more than a family can handle. We ask for any amount you can give, but most of all we ask for your thoughts and prayers for this family. We pray for the day that Monica is healed and the family can get back to that healthy, happy place they so deserve. “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. “ Hebrews 11:1
