As some of you may know, I have started a month-long challenge to raise money for some close family friends by running 5K for the first 30 days of August, followed by a Half Marathon on 31st August. Please see below the reason why I am doing this and Ella’s story: Good Friends of my family recently had some terrible news that their 3 year old daughter Ella has been diagnosed with Leukaemia. (Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia a type of blood cancer) She’s started a long journey of just over 2 years of treatment, with weekly trips to Great Ormond Street Hospital and local hospitals for chemotherapy, bone marrow aspirations, lumbar punctures, blood transfusions the list goes on. I am reaching out for your help and support for Ella and her brave family. Any funds raised will help MASSIVELY with costs of expensive hospital parking, food, travel, stays. Ella is having mobility issues now and is slowly getting weaker from the chemo, she’s struggling to walk and climb the stairs so for us to raise money so her parents can afford to buy her a wheelchair and make home adjustments, hand rails on their stairs ect would be amazing. Ella also has 3 siblings (Arthur 5, Louie 2 & Nancy 6 weeks old!) so with such a busy house her parents have both given up work to become her full-time careers and take her to all of her appointments. So, the financial strain is huge. Ella says when all of her ‘naughty blood turns to good blood’ she’d love to go horse riding and meet real life Disney princesses! That’s what’s keeping her going ❤️ so of course it would be amazing to raise funds to help with this too. Please donate what you can to help Ella on her long road to fight this! If you’re unable to donate, please share this GoFund me page and help share Ella’s story. Thank you so much for your support. Thanks Dan
