Hi my name is Mollie I am 7 years old and it's that time again where I am challenging myself to raise awareness and fundraising for a special group that has helped Henry form a connection with other children in a small setting. The Eye opportunity group is a non-profitting group that's set up for families that require support and respite for children with SEND. So this year I am on a mission to scale Snowdon(Yr wyddfa) the tallest mountain in Wales in July to raise funds for this group that has made my brother Henry feel comfortable in this group. So the story of Henry for those of you who don't know Henry was born 13 weeks premature he spent 91 days in Neonatal care across 4 different hospitals. Henry finished his care at Ipswich hospital. Since being discharged from neonatal Henry has had many admissions to their children's ward with respiratory problems. Henry continues to be supported by the hospital not only for his health, but also his development. As you can imagine this has impacted Mollie spending time apart from Henry and her parents. She is an amazing big sister who tries her best to protect him. The last two years have seen the family fight the education/health system to get what Henry needs for a correct education/diagnosis. In 2024 Henry was diagnosed with autism and global development delay and without Eye opportunity group this process could have stalled. They were there to support, resolve and advise us through the processes. Mollie would be very grateful if you could help her achieve her target to give much needed funds to this group who makes Henry feel happy and secure. Thank you
