Dear Friends, I am fortunate to say that I have an opportunity to go on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic over spring break this year. During my plebe (freshman) year at West Point I became involved with a Christian group on campus called Officer's Christian Fellowship (OCF). This spring break, a team of us are partnering with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and going down to the Dominican Republic to build a house in Santa Domingo. Coming to West Point I was unsure of the opportunities I would have to fulfill my desire to do missions, however, in God's perfect timing I will be able to go on this mission trip. After some prayer, I felt called to go with the team this year and help leave an impact to develop God's Kingdom for years come. "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." - 2 Corinthians 5:20. I am driven by passion to pursue this purpose given to me from God and be a part of this Dominican Republic team. To be a part of this mission, I will need both prayer and financial support. Would you be willing to be a prayer warrior, and continually pray for me, my team, our partners, the country, and more? If so, let me know. The trip costs about $1600, including airfare. The first $600 is due December 8th, this is to purchase a plane ticket.
