This weekend, we had the pleasure of visiting a community of children in Camden, New Jersey to bless them with words of hope and inspiration. While there, we heard the stories of several youth and our hearts poured out to them. In today's society, we all long to say that it takes a village to raise a child, but what if the village itself needs your help and understanding? In the community of Camden, their lives have been hit with one tragic event after another and now is the time for a national village to stand strong and support our youth. Some of these youth have been witnessed their parents being killed in front of them, homelessness, hunger, foster care, lack of education and more. We want to give these young children an opportunity to live. It is our hope that as a National Village, we can come together and help these children live productive lives. As the world looks to help other countries, we tend to forget about our own. What if all you could do was Google an image of your community and find this? What does this say about us? This is no way for a child to live. Their community should be loving and serving to their needs. No child should ever feel as if their life will be cut short due to a Google image. This community is under an attack that only we can help them overcome.
